U.K. Subs are one of the longest running British punk institutions. Fronted by the charismatic, Charlie Harper, who just turned 80, and shows no signs of slowing down. The music keep this man alive, and more power to him.
This set is a combination of a live CD, and a DVD recorded last year in London. U.K. Subs always have that certain live intensity, and this concert is no exception. It provides a very good overview of what this band is all about. It’s just the up-front punk fury, and no holds barred!
U.K. Subs always followed their own path, they don’t care what in, what’s popular. In this case what you hear and see is what you get. This is a wild and entertaining show, it has some funny moments, and generally shows this band is out to give everyone in the audience a good time.
The Last Will and Testament of U.K. Subs is a statement from a band that wrote their own history as they went along. It is difficult to say how long more they will be around, but their legacy is strong and impressive. In the meantime, this is a great show for all fans to enjoy.
